Mary Ann Parilla serves as Managing Advisor-Quality Services at Purdue Healthcare Advisors. In this role, Mary Ann works with PHA clients participating in the Meaningful Use Help Desk, which is operated by PHA through funding from the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration. She also supports providers through fee-for-service work to guide them in their adoption of electronic health records (EHR) and their attestation to Meaningful Use.
She joined the Purdue University-based Regional Extension Center (PurdueREC) in February 2011 to assist primary care and specialist providers in their efforts to implement electronic health records systems and to achieve a Meaningful Use status. In this role, Mary Ann helps providers with work flow process analysis and redesign as well as the development of process-improvement plans. To date, she has assisted more than 400 providers in successfully attesting to Meaningful Use.
Mary Ann received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich. In addition to a nursing background, she has extensive clinical experience in ambulatory settings and has worked in both clinical and practice management roles in physician practices for more than 14 years. She earned a Lean Healthcare Yellow Belt and a Lean Healthcare Green Belt from Purdue University.
