Randy Hountz, FACHE, MSM, serves as director of Purdue Healthcare Advisors (PHA). As the outreach arm of the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering at Purdue University, PHA is dedicated to assisting small providers with limited resources as well as supporting research on the problems that keep providers from realizing value-based care.
Randy directs PHA's three consulting and training service lines (Process Improvement; Quality Services; and Health IT Security), and oversees a wide array of state and federal awards to improve healthcare practice and patient health. PHA has trained and assisted thousands of healthcare staff and providers, helped hundreds of organizations improve process and outcome/quality measures, and assisted hundreds of organizations with securing their protected health information.
Randy is a Board member for Riggs Community Health Center and is also an advisory committee member of AHRQ’s Health Information Technology, Evaluation, and Quality Center (HITEQ). Randy earned his Master of Science in Management, and Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, from Purdue in 1999 and 1994, respectively.
