Senior Administrative Assistant

The Senior Administrative Assistant assists Purdue Healthcare Advisors' leadership and staff with a variety of administrative and financial duties, including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings and events, arranging travel, creating/reviewing documents and presentations, facilitating tasks and approvals with various campus business partners, and proactively resolving issues. This opportunity will appeal to someone who is team-focused and customer-oriented with a developed level of professionalism necessary to interact effectively with a diverse clientele, both internal and external to the university. This position reports to the director of Purdue Healthcare Advisors.

For consideration, a successful candidate must possess a high school diploma/GED; four (4) years of secretarial/administrative office experience; proficiency and an advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet, PowerPoint, and Excel. An associate's degree; a strong background in higher education-related business, administrative policies, office management, and accounting; and knowledge of the healthcare industry is preferred.


Senior Advisor, Lean Facilitator

Purdue Healthcare Advisors' Senior Advisor, Lean Facilitator is an expert in continuous improvement (CI) and has had demonstrated success leading highly complex projects to build organization-wide capabilities in lean, facilitating multidisciplinary problem-solving teams and coaching key personnel and small groups in making the personal transformation needed to adopt CI thinking and behaviors. He/she is expected to provide input into strategic program development, generating innovative ideas for new offerings, and must be able to generate sales. This position may be tasked with developing new service offerings, supervising small teams or otherwise contributing to the process-improvement service line. 

A successful candidate for this position will have strong capability to lead teams, mentor and coach others as well as ability to work effectively, develop and maintain cooperative and constructive relationships with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization and with external constituents.

Required is a bachelor's degree; five years of professional experience in manufacturing, service, or healthcare; and advanced skills in training, learning facilitation, and cross-functional team facilitation. In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.

Lead Advisor, Lean Healthcare

Building a capacity for change requires a deep understanding of how individuals, teams, organizations and systems learn, develop, change, grow and get through crisis. A Lead Advisor for Lean Healthcare at PHA provides lean, quality and Health IT services to healthcare organizations as they transition from fee-for-service to value-based care, and face other challenges of healthcare reform.

A successful candidate for this position is an expert in continuous improvement (CI) and has had demonstrated success leading highly complex projects to build organization-wide capabilities in lean, facilitating multidisciplinary problem-solving teams and coaching key personnel and small groups in making the personal transformation needed to adopt CI thinking and behaviors. He/she will possess a demonstrated ability to use value stream mapping/analysis, Kaizen, A3, PDCA, 5S, Gemba walks, Takt time, Kamishibai boards, LMS, root cause problem solving, Kanban, SMED, flow cells to facilitate team discovery, problem-solving and continuous improvement. He/she is expected to provide input into strategic program development, generating innovative ideas for new offerings, and must be able to generate sales.

Required is a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, healthcare, technology or related major; Lean Silver Certified or other advanced-level lean /continuous improvement certification; and six years of progressive professional experience in Lean, continuous improvement, process improvement or service design/innovation work (three years working in a healthcare or non-manufacturing field). A master's degree and Lean Gold certified is preferred. This position requires the ability to travel up to 75% of the time. Remote work is available.
