Post-Doctoral Researcher in Implementation Science

Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE) is announcing a search for a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the areas of implementation science for policy and intervention evaluation. The Post-Doctoral Researcher will be responsible for policy and intervention evaluations related to the CDC grant on health equity at the Regenstrief Center. The programs and policies to address disparity in health outcome related to the COVID-19 pandemic will be evaluated using implementation science techniques and data from social determinants of health and health outcomes. The candidate must be highly motivated and able to interact in a fast-paced interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will participate in a diverse research pursuit including collaboration, writing technical and research manuscripts, data analysis, and proposal development for external funding. Job responsibilities

  • Evaluate policies and interventions related to addressing health disparities.
  • Collaboration across diverse team members including health equity analysts, research scientists, and policy researchers.
  • Dissemination - Write manuscripts for peer reviewed publications. Present research results at major conferences and meetings and participate in discussions with healthcare providers.
  • Mentoring - Mentor and supervise students participating on healthcare engineering translational research projects. Advise doctoral students in completion of their dissertation research.
  • Generate grant funding-Participate in formulating ideas and concepts for grant applications of sufficient merit to receive grant awards from competitive national funding agencies.

Required

  • Ph.D. in social/behavioral/health sciences or a related field
  • Experience in research in health equity and policy evaluations.
  • Programming language experience in data analysis and model development such as network analysis.
