Senior Quality Advisor
Wayne Fischer, MPH, serves as Senior Quality Advisor at Purdue Healthcare Advisors (PHA). In this role, he supports Indiana clinicians in understanding and meeting the requirements of numerous national and state quality initiatives, including the Quality Payment Program (QPP) and its Merit-based Incentive Payment Program (MIPS), Meaningful Use (MU), Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), and the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS).
Wayne also serves as Enrollment Coordinator for Indiana Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program, which is operated by PHA through funding from CMS and the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration. He is an Indiana QPP Advisor for the QPP Resource Center™ for the Midwest (QPP-RC); and provides expertise to practices, clinics and hospitals through fee-for-service work.
At PHA since January of 2012, Wayne has focused primarily on public and population health. He has conducted/updated community health assessments and developed/monitored health improvement plans that allow communities to achieve national accreditation.
Fischer has nearly 24 years of public health experience. He was in management and supervisory positions in state and local public health departments for 14 of those years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Duke University and a master’s degree in public health policy and administration from the University of Michigan.
