Welcome to Walk-at-Work Wednesdays. Your team of Benefits Ambassadors for the Office of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships (EVPRP) has put together a weekly walking program that should encompass most of our staff, however, we are a somewhat spread out unit. Walk-at-Work Wednesdays is just what it says. We meet each Wednesday at the start of the route nearest our office building, and walk for approximately 45 minutes to counteract all those hours sitting at a desk.

All you have to do to participate is bring your walking shoes to work and step outside on your lunch break for a brisk 45-minute walk. Small bursts of activity during the day go a long way toward improving your health. Incorporating a once-a-day walk can help you lose or manage weight, prevent conditions such as high blood pressure, strengthen your bones, and improve balance and coordination. Plus, studies show that time spent outdoors is just good for your mental well-being!

Below you'll find three options to choose from: A route around 1) Purdue's central campus starting at two locations; 2) Purdue's south campus starting in Discovery Park; and 3) off campus at the Purdue Research Park.  Please spread the word and don't forget to bring your friends along.

If you have suggestions for route variations or new routes, please contact Jeanine Parsch.
