Overview of MIPS Reporting Factors: Special Statuses, QPP Exceptions, Opt-In

The QPP is not a one-size-fits-all program. Several factors go into the nuance of being an eligible clinician (EC).  Many MIPS ECs are automatically assigned a special status for the 2019 participation year. Additional circumstances may create scenarios that may make some ECs eligible for exceptions, opt-in status, and virtual groups.
