Purdue Healthcare Advisors is one of 10 partners participating in the MACRA Provider Resource Network (M-PRN) led by Michigan-based Altarum Institute. On Feb. 17, 2017, CMS awarded $20 million to Altarum and 10 other organizations nationwide to fund the first year of MACRA Quality Improvement Direct Technical Assistance. CMS intends to invest up to an additional $80 million over the remaining four years. We have knowledge and expertise in practice transformation, legislation, resources, and technology to help you understand what is required for MACRA and why. We are here to support you on the front lines as you plan for, implement, and measure your transition to patient-focused care.

About the Program
From 2017-2022, the QPP Resource Center™ for the Midwest aims to help 35,000+ clinicians in Indiana and six other states (Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Minnesota) prepare for and successfully participate in the new Quality Payment Program (QPP). The QPP was created by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) to determine levels of Medicare reimbursement for individual clinicians through a new, value-based system. As a coalition member of the MACRA Provider Resource Network (M-PRN), Purdue Healthcare Advisors brings direct support to approximately 2,900 MIPS-eligible, Indiana-based clinicians to help them choose and report on quality measures.
Remote technical assistance may include, but is not limited to conveying the MIPS expectations and timelines; explaining the MIPS feedback report; creating a MIPS-score improvement plan; evaluating practice readiness for joining an Advanced Alternative Payment Model (APM); assessing and optimizing Health IT; supporting change management and strategic planning; developing and disseminating education and training materials; and enabling peer-to-peer learning and local partnerships.
Support will include several levels of remote service, from a call-in help desk and resource library for those organizations who need less guidance to a designated virtual coach for those underserved and rural clinics that may lack the resources to transition to value-based care without more customized, intensive support. Our web portal features MIPScast™, an easy-to-use, interactive tool that will help you predict your MIPS score, identify areas for improvement, and compare your practice to peers.
Eligibility for Participation
Eligible providers must be practicing in small groups with 15 or fewer clinicians including:
- small practices in rural locations,
- health professional shortage areas, and/or
- medically underserved areas.
You remain eligible to become a member of the QPP Resource Center™ even if you or your practice group:
- are a participant in a CMS Accountable Care Organization (ACO);
- are an MD, DO, PA, NP, CNS, CRNA;
- are a clinician working in optometry, podiatry, chiropractor services; dental surgery (see MIPS-eligible);
- are enrolled in the Indiana Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program.
If you are not sure if your practice is small, rural or underserved, call our help desk (see above) to let us help you in determining your eligibility. We'll refer larger organizations to our area's designated Quality Improvement Organization (QIO).
