Purdue Healthcare Advisors (PHA) applies a Lean First approach to healthcare organizations' process improvement challenges through fee-for-service engagements offered in-person, remotely, online through PHA Direct or a combination of all three. The Lean First model offers various levels of process improvement, from a small-step approach to address day-to-day improvement to larger-scale events and value stream analysis. Change management philosophies are emphasized throughout the engagement. Lean First's triangle of strategy, deployment, and continuous improvement brings success to organizations struggling to improve patient flow; reduce hospital acquired conditions; enhance patient satisfaction; and make other improvements that drive quality and revenue up and cost down.
PHA works with healthcare organizations not eligible for grant-subsidized services through fee-for-service contracts. We offer technical assistance by industry experts as well as the application of process improvement methodologies to boost MIPS Composite Quality Measures; help organizations achieve Patient Centered Medical Home recognition; enhance participation in legacy program such as the Physician Quality Reporting System, the Medicare Meaningful Use Incentive Program, and the Value-Based Modifier to transition into MIPS performance; and establish a Chronic Care Management program to leverage new Medicare billing code changes.
PHA provides health IT privacy/security services and best practices ― consulting, assessing, educating and training ― through cyberTAP, a Purdue University technical assistance outreach program formed in 2019 to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity services and education. cyberTAP offers extensive expertise in health IT security because many of its staff are former PHA security consultants well versed in the security needs of hospital systems, clinics, and small practices. In addition to the services we have traditionally offered the healthcare industry, cyberTAP introduces Cyber Range Training and other workforce-development options.
